EDUCATION
Karishma Bhatia Mehta, MD, attended the Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Mumbai, receiving a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2012. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
EXPERIENCE
Dr. Bhatia Mehta is a pulmonologist at Lung Center of Nevada, a division of Comprehensive Cancer Centers where she treats patients with acute and chronic pulmonary health concerns.
Prior to joining Comprehensive, she served as chief fellow in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s/Roosevelt/Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
Her expertise includes biologics for severe asthma, advanced COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary embolism, lung cancer screening as well as endobronchial ultrasound guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) for staging.
PERSONAL
Medicine and motherhood are two words that sum up her identity. She, along with her husband and three little boys, love to travel and love exploring new cultures and foods.

Like every relationship, Dr. Bhatia Mehta truly believes that communication is the cornerstone of a physician-patient bond. She is fluent in Hindi and has basic proficiency in Punjabi.
