Shannon Southwick, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, AOCNP

Shannon Southwick, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, AOCNP received her bachelor’s in nursing and master’s in nursing from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Shannon is a board certified nurse practitioner and has additional certifications in CPR and oncology nursing.

EXPERIENCE
Shannon is a board certified family nurse practitioner at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada where she provides oncology care and follow up care to patients. She also teaches an introduction to chemotherapy class to all new patients.

She is a member of Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and was former President and former Vice President of the Greater Las Vegas ONS Chapter.

Shannon held various positions at Comprehensive including manger of nursing services, implementation manager of electronic medical records (EMR) and registered nurse. Prior to joining Comprehensive, she worked as a registered nurse at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

PATIENT PHILOSOPHY
Patients are overwhelmed when they come into our offices. My goal is to provide individualized and comprehensive care while addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

PERSONAL
Shannon and her husband have two daughters. Her hobbies include cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
