Yashmine Ballesteros, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Yashmine Ballesteros, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is part of Comprehensive Cancer’s team of advanced practice provider that help coordinate world-class patient treatment in a supportive and caring environment.

EDUCATION
Yashmine Ballesteros, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, received an Associate of Science degree in nursing from Ohlone College and received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Western Governors University. She completed a Master of Science in Nursing from Touro University Nevada in the family nurse practitioner program. Yashmine also holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Santa Clara University.

EXPERIENCE
Yashmine is a nurse practitioner at Comprehensive Cancer Centers at the Northwest treatment center where she helps manage the care and treatment plans for patients with cancer and blood disorders. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner, advanced practice registered nurse with additional certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

Prior to joining Comprehensive, she served as a registered nurse in the oncology and joint replacement unit at St. Rose Dominican Hospital – San Martin Campus and in orthopedics at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center. Previously, she was a nurse supervisor at Los Altos Sub-Acute and Rehab in Los Altos, California. Yashmine also has clinical experience in pain management, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and psychiatric care.

PERSONAL
Yashmine was born and raised in the Philippines. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She likes to dance Zumba, travel, cook and eat different types of cuisines.

PATIENT PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is treating the patient first before the disease, which means integrating patients’ preferences, values and needs into their plan of care. I pursued a career in oncology with a desire to build trusting relationships, educate and provide compassionate care to my patients.
