Sleep Disorders
Lung Center of Nevada also treats patients suffering from sleep disorders at the Desert Sleep Disorders Center. There are a number of sleep disorders that can decrease a person’s quality of life and can cause problems if left untreated, including:

Sleep Apnea is a common sleep disorder caused by the soft tissue in the throat falling and blocking the airway. When this happens, our bodies naturally wake us up briefly to open the airway so we can breathe again. Sleep Apnea can cause complications down the road if not treated early. Treatment options range from machines that help with breathing to surgery. A board certified sleep medicine physician at Lung Center of Nevada will provide options to help determine which treatment is best for each individual patient.
