Rossella, breast cancer patient

My name is Rossella, and I am a stage 4 breast cancer patient at Comprehensive Cancer Centers. I was diagnosed in 2011, shortly after having my second daughter. I had surgery to remove the cancer in Italy, where I was living at the time.

We moved to Las Vegas in 2012, I was referred to Comprehensive Cancer Centers for follow-up care and routine check-ups. Everything was going well until March 2017 when the cancer came back. This time it was extremely aggressive and had already spread to my lungs and bones. I received radiation treatment right away. After radiation, I had to have back surgery because the cancer deteriorated my spine. They fused my spine to give me stability.

I am now on a clinical trial that has given me my life back. I no longer have a back brace and I am feeling great.

My team at Comprehensive Cancer Centers as well as my family have been the most amazing support system for me. Their positivity and encouragement gives me strength and courage every day.

I know very well how hard and tough the journey is and how hard it is mentally and physically to live with cancer, but it is possible. So, don’t lose hope!
