New Providers at Comprehensive
Comprehensive Cancer Centers continues to build out its team of talented and dedicated caregivers, adding a new physician as well as several advanced practice providers to the practice. These new team members all share Comprehensive’s mission of providing world-class and compassionate care for cancer and other diseases and conditions.
New Medical Oncologist
The practice’s newest doctor is Liawaty Ho, MD, a medical oncologist and hematologist at Comprehensive Cancer Centers where she treats patients at the treatment center located at 3730 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89169. She attended the University of Indonesia Faculty of Medicine in Jakarta, receiving a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1996 and medical degree in 1998. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She later completed a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Albert Einstein Cancer Center/Montefiore Medical Center.
An award-winning oncologist, Dr. Ho has received the Top 10 Oncologists, Patients’ Choice, On-Time Physician and Most Compassionate Doctor awards from Vitals.com and National Top Oncologist, and cited as a Founding Medical Expert in Hematology and Medical Oncology by HealthTap.com. She earned these accolades while treating cancer types with a special interest in treating breast cancer, as well as colon cancer, lung cancer and lymphoma.
Dr. Ho is passionate about providing the best care possible to all of her patients by offering the latest in treatments and research. Dr. Ho is a strong believer in being accessible to all patients, not just her own, to interpret patient concerns and answers clinical questions.
Prior to joining Comprehensive, she served as a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist at Optum Cancer Care and at Nevada Cancer Center / HealthCare Partners Oncology Hematology. Previously, she worked with patients as a general practitioner at Kiara Primary Care Clinic and Jakarta Marine Medical Clinic, both in Jakarta, Indonesia.
New Advanced Practice Providers
Comprehensive Cancer Centers just added three new advanced practice providers in Kristen Anderson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, Ebony Peterson, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, Daisy Mackie, MSN, APRN, ACNPC-AG and Aleksandra Siuta, MSN, APRN, FNP-C.
Kristen Anderson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner at the Lung Center of Nevada (LINK 6), a division of Comprehensive Cancer Centers dedicated to serving patients with various pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders. She is currently certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) as well as CPR from the American Heart Association.
Kristen is passionate about volunteer efforts and giving back to the community. She has aided in events such as Shop-With-A-Cop through City of North Las Vegas Police Department and has volunteered for several 5K runs through the American Red Cross.
Ebony Peterson, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner at Comprehensive’s treatment center located on the campus of Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center. As a nurse practitioner, she supports Comprehensive’s physicians by helping manage the care and treatment plans for patients with cancer and serious blood disorders.
Prior to joining Comprehensive, Ebony served as a nurse practitioner at MBO Partners and Logistics Health. She also worked in North Dakota as a nurse practitioner at the 5th Medical Group at Minot Air Force Base as well as a radiation oncology nurse practitioner and urgent care nurse practitioner at Trinity Health.
Prior to joining Comprehensive, she served as a critical care nurse in the intensive care unit and as a registered nurse in the Telemetry Care Service department at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. Her clinical experience includes positions with Nevada Family Care & Wellness, VIPediatrics and Women’s Health Associates of Southern Nevada.
Daisy Mackie, MSN, APRN, ACNPC-AG, is also a new nurse practitioner at the Lung Center of Nevada, serving patients with various pulmonary disorders. She attended Davao Doctors College in the Philippines, receiving a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She completed a Master of Science in nursing from Walden University, finishing magna cum laude and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Aleksandra Siuta, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner at Comprehensive Cancer Centers. As a nurse practitioner, she supports Comprehensive’s physicians in helping manage the care and treatment plans for patients with cancer and serious blood disorders.
Prior to joining Comprehensive, she worked in the Chicago area as a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and also in the adult surgical heart intensive care unit at Advocate Christ Medical Center. She attended Saint Xavier University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2016. In 2019, she completed a Master of Science in nursing at Olivet Nazarene University in the family nurse practitioner program.
