Tooba Mohammad, MD is part of Comprehensive Cancer’s team of breast surgeon oncologists that provide patient treatment in a supportive and caring environment.

EDUCATION
Dr. Tooba Mohammad earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland before receiving her medical degree with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Mohammad completed her general surgery residency at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital affiliated with Temple University School of Medicine.She completed an SSO approved breast surgical oncology fellowship at Rutgers Cancer Institute, New Jersey’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Mohammad is a fellowship trained breast surgeon practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past year. She is board-certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Prior to joining Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Mohammad was in New Brunswick, NJ for her breast surgery fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She spent this year operating on and caring for breast cancer patients in a high volume multi-disciplinary academic setting. This allowed her to provide treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs aligned with the evolving national guidelines, research, and data in the field of breast cancer. Dr. Mohammad’s training in surgery has allowed her to care for patients in a wide variety of settings. She completed her general surgery training at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, a busy level I trauma center and regional tertiary care center in Pennsylvania. During her surgical training, she rotated through UPMC in Pittsburgh for several subspecialty surgical rotations and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC as a breast surgery resident scholar. She is an active member of American Society of Breast Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.

PERSONAL
Dr. Mohammad enjoys literature, podcasts, live theatre, films, and television.

Dr. Mohammad’s goal is to provide evidence-based treatment that achieves excellent outcomes, tailored to the needs of each patient. There is a wealth of information, knowledge, tools, and experience in the field of breast disease. One of the biggest joys of her work is using all possible resources to make the process of getting expert, specialized care as easy as possible for her patients.
