Michelle Hunt, MSN, FNP-BC, ACHPN, attended Emmanuel College in Boston receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2009. She then completed both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing at MGH Institute of Health Professions, also in Boston, graduating in 2012.
Michelle is a nurse practitioner at Comprehensive Cancer Centers where she practices at the treatment center located in Henderson at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus. She is currently certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC), an advanced certified hospice and palliative nurse (ACHPN) as well as in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) with the American Heart Association.
Prior to joining Comprehensive, she served as a family nurse practitioner at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina where she was part of the inpatient palliative care consult team specializing in complex symptom management and advance care planning. Prior to that, she served as a family nurse practitioner at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Wyoming and FastMed Urgent Care in Arizona.
Michelle is originally from Massachusetts and she has enjoyed traveling and living in different states in the U.S. with her husband and family. She enjoys exploring new cities and the experiences they have to offer. Reading and running outside are hobbies.
With any serious or chronic illness, a person’s life is invariably changed. The opportunity to walk alongside the patient and their support network during this time is a unique and important experience. Michelle strives to bring the holistic nature of advanced practice nursing to each patient encounter.
