James D. Sanchez, MD is part of Comprehensive Cancer’s medical oncology team that provides world-class cancer care in a supportive and caring environment.
A Cum Laude graduate in biology, James D. Sanchez, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. Following an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan School of Medicine, he completed two fellowships in hematology and oncology at the University of Michigan and the University of Alabama.

Dr. Sanchez is a medical oncologist and hematologist at Comprehensive Cancer Centers where he treats patients with cancer and serious blood disorders. He previously served as the Practice President for nearly 15 years. He has authored and published more than 19 publications and abstracts.
Prior to joining Comprehensive, he was a Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor of Hematology and Oncology and Associate Scientist at the University of Alabama.
Dr. Sanchez has been recognized as Healthcare Hero and Medical Marvel by Nevada Business Magazine, Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, Vegas Seven, Desert Companion and VEGAS INC Health Care Quarterly as well as America’s Most Honored Professionals by The American Registry.
In his free time, Dr. Sanchez enjoys spending time with his family, dancing and fishing.

By providing the most up-to-date resources available in clinical research, as accepted by National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines, his primary goal is for his patients to obtain the most advanced care possible close to their homes and near their families.
