One of the great joys of summer in Las Vegas is being outside and enjoying activities including watching elite professional soccer played by the Las Vegas Lights FC at Cashman Field. Comprehensive Cancer Centers has teamed up with Lights to help keep fans safe through its Protect Your Fun in the Sun free sunscreen program. The practice is also an official corporate partner and supporter of the breast cancer awareness night on October 5.
While this is the first year Comprehensive Cancer Centers is partnering with the Las Vegas Lights, the oncology practice launched its Protect Your Fun in the Sun in 2015 and has since provided hundreds of gallons of complimentary SPF 30 sunscreen to people attending sporting events and spending time outside, enjoying parks and other recreational opportunities unique to the Las Vegas valley, while helping reduce skin cancer risks.
The Protect Your Fun in the Sun program enables fans at games to protect themselves from potentially harmful UV-A and UV-B rays by visiting one of three Comprehensive sunscreen kiosks in the Zappos Fan Tailgate.
As part of the official corporate partner status, Comprehensive Cancer Centers will be supporting breast cancer awareness night on October 5. The program will include a ceremony honoring breast cancer survivors. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to share messages of hope and encouragement for others with cancer. Comprehensive Cancer and the Lights are also teaming up to raise funds that night for a local charity, with activations done through channels including social media.
