In an effort to bring enhanced care and treatment to members faced with cancer, Las Vegas’s Comprehensive Cancer Centers announced it has expanded its partnership with SilverSummit Healthplan.

With 12 locations in Southern Nevada, Comprehensive Cancer Centers is a multi-specialty practice offering medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, breast surgery, pulmonary medicine, cancer genetic counseling, clinical research, and other infusion services. SilverSummit members seeking treatment have consistently named it a top choice for their cancer care.

The expanded partnership, effective April 1, 2022, offers SilverSummit members guaranteed and expedited access to care at Comprehensive Cancer Center locations. Members also have the option to receive integrated care, which centralizes their treatments, procedures, medication, and consultations all in one place.

“The health and wellbeing of our members is our top priority,” said Eric Schmacker, President & CEO, SilverSummit Healthplan. “A cancer diagnosis can be incredibly stressful for members and their loved ones, and ensuring timely, quality care is paramount during this time. We are proud to partner with award-winning Comprehensive Cancer Centers to ensure our members have access to timely, high-quality, integrated healthcare and services.”

“I am very thankful and fortunate to have access to healthcare through SilverSummit Healthplan. I have been able to obtain many services and specialists, especially those at Comprehensive Cancer Centers,” said Warren Vaouli, member of SilverSummit Healthplan since 2020 and patient of Comprehensive Cancer Centers. “I am currently receiving infusions for neurofibromatosis, and I am already feeling stronger, more energetic, and I am able to move forward with my life. I am so grateful to be able to get this help.”
