Summer also provides a good time to start building lighter eating habits, with healthier, lighter food best enjoyed in the hotter months.

The following are some of our favorites found from some excellent foodie blogs and websites that provide cooking techniques and ingredients that offer healthier eating alternatives that can be easily integrated into lifestyles this summer and beyond.  These recipes deliver health ingredients and a lot of delicious flavors, but with any of them, be sure to add or subtract ingredients based on allergies and personal and family preferences:
