Special Note Regarding AthenaHealth Billing Statements

AthenaHealth has selected a new patient statement vendor, RevSpring. This change comes in response to the cyber event in February 2024, which disabled the previous patient statement vendor. This incident led to significant disruptions affecting patients, practices, and billing office teams.

New patient statement production resumed as of last week, and you may received one of these new statements. The following outlines their purpose, what new features will be rolled out soon, along with an example statement.

Enhancements to Statements Include:

  • Improved accuracy and clarity of patient statements

Future Enhancements Will Include:

  • Implementation of a Patient Portal
  • Introduction of Text to Pay options
